Yummy pizza from around the globe

There is no better way to start the weekend with some cocktails and delicious food. And that it exactly how I started my weekend. On Friday, having finished work, I met up with my friend Jess (after months of intending to but miserably failing). We met up at Charring Cross and headed down to Covent Garden (I know quite a few of my posts have centered in and around the place but a) I love that place and b) it’s close to work and easy to get home from – win-win).
The picture quality wasn't great, so I decided to
step back in time to black & white
Having walked past Fire & Stone on numerous occasions, I finally decided to give it a try. The place boasted of having “deliciously different pizzas” which was an apt description. We hadn’t booked a table so there was a slight wait but we ordered a few cocktails at the bar, making time go a lot faster. When seated, there was a vast range of pizzas, all inspired by the seven different continents – I wish I could have tried a bit of everything but in the end, settled with a Canberra – with had roast chicken, garlic and rosemary potatoes, mushrooms, sour cream and chilli sauce, all adding up to a delicious pizza!
My delicious starter

Jess had the Sydney

After the very yummy meal, we weren’t quite ready to head home, so we walked around Leicester Square and settled on having a few drinks at O’Neills. This is only the second time that I’ve been there but it’s great at the weekend with a relaxed atmosphere and great live music (and on this occasion, a crazy-eyed, tall guy who was doing a hyper dance, jumping around the whole place and entertaining everyone).

All in all, I had a great evening, managing to finally catch up with the lovely Jess and relaxing after a relatively stressful week.

The rest of my weekend was pretty mellow, except for the very exciting event of me buying a new laptop! I have been using my netbook for a few months now and whilst it’s great, I’m trying to save it for when I recommence my studies next year as its ideal for travelling.

I have started my Sunday morning with yoga at the leisire centre (now feeling very calm and stretched) and will soon be heading down to the Stratford Westfield to have yet another, much-needed catch up with my cousin, Aurelija this time.
Well if he can do yoga...

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday.

Muah,

Roo xx
